The glass exterior of a Houston skyscraper reflects the neighboring building and the entryway marble entrance to create an interesting geometric abstract and doubling effect. Known at the time as the Allied Bank Tower, it is now Wells Fargo Plaza. Construction of other skyscrapters nearby make this image impossible, now, as this side of the building is blocked from the sun by new buildings at the necessary time of day. Gerard has been photographing Texas and surrounding areas for over 30 years. The wide range of his work includes everything from the bright, colorful wildflower meadows of the Texas Hill Country, to the the stark winter beauty Brazos Bend, to the abstract architectural and industrial beauty of Houston.
